Dentures Milton Keynes- Your local specialist for high quality & Comfort!
Missing teeth can lower your confidence and make chewing difficult. Gaps may also change the shape of your cheeks, making you look older. Dentures could help! Dentures provide a removable and natural-looking replacement for missing teeth. They offer a more affordable alternative to dental implants that can enhance your chewing function and support your natural face shape. Once the initial period of adjustment is overcome, dentures can be a comfortable and stable solution for long term tooth replacement, allowing patients to feel confident eating and speaking in public.

How are dentures made? – Denture specialist Milton Keynes
Having dentures made tends to be a longer process requiring several appointments, as we take great care to ensure your new replacement teeth are right for you (looks and comfort).
At your first appointment, we will talk to you in detail about your ideal dentures and the treatment process involved, giving you the chance to ask any questions. We take digital images and impressions of your mouth and create a model to ensure your dentures are made to the highest accuracy, providing a completely bespoke solution. Hence, we take the necessary time to design the best looking and feeling restoration for your needs and preferences.
When the process is complete and your dentures are ready, we make sure you are happy with them and show you how to fit them in your mouth. We also give you personalised tips and advice on how to look after them on a daily basis to ensure good ongoing oral health.

What are partial dentures? – Denture specialist Buckingham
If you’re missing a few teeth but still have some remaining, partial dentures may be a good solution for you. They can be made with an acrylic plastic or metal cobalt chrome base. The latter generally tend to be much better tolerated, more hygienic, and more secure as a long-term denture solution. They are carefully designed to clip onto your existing natural teeth for extra support, but can easily be removed for cleaning. The metal is also designed to be as discreet as possible with a minimalist “Scandinavian” design for optimum performance, comfort and hygiene.
What are complete dentures? – Denture specialist Winslow
If you have a full arch of teeth that need replacing, or an old, worn denture that needs updating, we can construct a completely new set of dentures that look like the real thing. We use very natural looking prosthetic teeth and can even incorporate wear, chips and fillings into dentures to make them look as authentic as possible.
What are implant retained dentures? – Dentures Milton Keynes
For the most secure prosthetic solution, we recommend implant-retained dentures. These use a combination of dental implants and dentures to permanently fix your replacement teeth to your jawbone. This gives them unmatched stability, functionality and performance. For lower complete dentures, this is a particularly excellent solution. Dental implants are small titanium posts that are surgically placed into your jawbone. These posts are used to hold dentures firmly in position. Once the implants have fused to your jawbone, you’ll enjoy the stability that matches natural teeth.

Initial consultations with Dr Catherine Hart – Milton Keynes, Bucks
For your initial consultation, Catherine will carefully listen to what you want to achieve from your new smile and will discuss the best options available for your individual oral circumstances. She will then explain the process from start to finish, and show you examples of the different material options that can be used to make your denture, so you have a good understanding from the start.
For example, there are various materials for denture plates ranging from traditional acrylic ‘all pink’ dentures, Cobalt Chrome ‘metal dentures’, flexible dentures and ‘PEEK’, which is a relatively new material in dentistry although it has been in medicine for many years. Peek is extremely bio-compatible (body-friendly), very strong (fracture resistant), neutral-tasting, AND is extra thin! Catherine will explain the advantages of the different options when you come in for your consultation.
If you decide that you would like to go ahead then we will prepare a personalised treatment plan for you, that outlines everything discussed and the associated costings. If you are a new patient to the practice, then we will need to do an oral health check-up first to make sure you are dentally fit before continuing the treatment.
